Do you know you have ONE job?
Share the message of Jesus Christ.
You can begin with a simple conversation about a tiny seed!
Ohmysoulshine is a family-owned business built on the belief that our purpose is to share God's word and to reach as many souls as possible. We are passionate about providing people with simple printable downloads and gifts that open the door to everyday opportunities to let your soul shine!
Everyone has a story.
Everyone struggles.
Our family is no different from yours.
Difficult birth, infertility, learning differences, marital issues, mental health struggles, financial problems and death...
How do we face these kinds of challenges and still rest in the peace that surpasses all understanding?
We accept that this life is hard.
Then we focus our eyes on God and remember why we are here.
We are here to share His promise of everlasting life with as many people as we can.
It all starts with a tiny bit of faith.
So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
This initiative uses a small mustard seed as a catalyst for sharing the good news of Jesus in a friendly, one-minute conversation. The plan includes key steps, practical tips, and a sample script to help you get started.
• Goal
To share the message of Jesus—that even a small seed of faith can grow into
something powerful—with those who may not have heard or considered the
good news.
• Symbolism
The mustard seed represents the power of faith. Jesus taught that even a
mustard seed, though tiny, can grow into a large tree (Matthew 13:31-32).
Use it as a tangible reminder that small beginnings in faith lead to
great outcomes.
• Materials Needed
Mustard Seeds: Package small
amounts of mustard seeds in a clear,
small container or sachet.
• Where to Share:
We have successfully shared with people in restaurants, stores, movie theaters, parks, malls, etc. Assess the situation and use wisdom that you don't startle or cause the person to feel threatened in any way. Some people will automatically move away or say not interested. That's ok. You might say, "Bless you," and move along.
• How to Approach People:
Smile, introduce yourself, and mention that you’re sharing a small gift.
Respect personal boundaries—if someone isn’t interested, thank them for
their time and move on.
Be prepared for questions.
Greeting:
“Hi, my name is [Your Name]. I’m out here sharing something small but
special—a mustard seed.”
Explanation:
“This seed reminds me of what Jesus said about faith.
Even though it’s tiny, it can grow into a big, strong tree.
It’s a symbol that no matter how small our faith might seem,
God can use it to do amazing things.”
Invitation:
“I wanted to share this good news with you today. Would you like a little
reminder of God’s promise? I’d be happy to explain more if
you’re interested.”
Closure: (Hand them the seed if they seem open to it)
“Thank you for listening, and I hope this small gift reminds you
of the big love God has for you.”
• Adaptation:
• Adjust the language to fit your personality.
• Practice the script so it feels natural and conversational.
This plan provides a structured yet flexible approach to sharing the good news of Christ through a simple, symbolic gift. As you step out in faith, remember that even a small mustard seed of conversation can lead to a great harvest in someone’s life. Let's grow His kingdom together and may God bless your outreach!
